All living things on earth are connected to each other through a vast network of connections. All these connections at one time or another runs through the soil.
Caring for the earth, begins with caring for the soil. We care for our soils by applying the principles of conservation agriculture:
- Zero (or at least minimum) soil disturbance.
- Keeping the soil covered at all times by using mulch or cover crops or natural vegetation.
- Keeping a living root system in the soil at all times.
By caring for the soil, you create a beneficial knock-on effect in terms of plant health, water conservation, bio-diversity and personal well being.
