Permaculture Living

Permaculture is more than just growing your own food, it's a way of life. Permaculture is a design philosophy about how people can interact with nature, in a sustainable way by using natural resources as efficient as possible. This blog is about our new journey as a family into permaculture living. Permaculture's three principles are: Care for the Earth. Care for people. Share the surplus. Permaculture begins at home.

Earth Care

"We don't inherit the earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children. "

People Care

"Cooperation, not competition, is the very basis of every life system, and of future survival."

Share the Surplus

Permaculture creates abundance.

Here you wil read about our experiences.

A new journey

Ten months ago we decided to leave our old home where we learned about permaculture, because our needs changed. We moved to a new farm just off the N2 Garden Route of South Africa. We wanted a place with no infrastructure, to design our own Permaculture Homestead from scratch. We would like to share our challenges, successes and failures with other people who are also thinking of selfsustainable off-gridd living.
